Revolutionary War to Fur Trade Era Large Belt Knife

Belt knives were carried by all soldiers and frontiersman of the era. as an all important tool.  Age crack in wooden handle, but blade still tight.  Blacksmith made.   Evidence of later sharpening.  Unusually large size.  9 in. blade and 14 in. in total.  From an old NC collection.
