Large British felling ax found in a 1760s to 1780s British trading post and military camp in Quebec, CA. Found underwater in the 1950's. The camp was used at as trading post and later a military camp for Burgoyne's men before the Saratoga Campaign. Blacksmith marked C. Brooks Sun/Star symbol. 6 in. in length with 4 in edge. Very nice condition with part of original handle remaining.
