Revolutionary War American Short Saber

Completely American made Rev War Period brass mounted "D" guard short saber with ribbed fruitwood grip and a hand forged "flattie" blade.  The brass mounted leather scabbard has incise designs running the length of it.  Possible southern origin.
Condition:  Very Good.  This sword has an untouched surface with the fruitwood grip having an ancient chip on the inboard surface.  The leather scabbard is possibly a replacement or a heavy restoration with the original throat and is split mid-section with the split running on the reverse side but does not run completely around to the obverse.  Brass drag is a replacement.
