Rare Musket Fired Dumb Bell Shot Ft. Ticonderoga
$395.00Price
Dug at Ft. Ticonderoga NY, this piece is two .63 balls with a small lead separator. The bar is 1” now in its twisted state, but would have been longer before being fired. 2.25 in. in length. These were common in England during English Civil War, but are extremely rare in Colonial America. These are so rare that we could only find record of one other being found in North America and it resides in an elite private collection. This is likely French, because of the caliber and from the French occupation of Ticonderoga. The rarest of musket projectiles for the most refined collection. Comes with tag from previous owner and highly respected dealer Cary Delery.
